Gregory Stathopoulos

Bosun
Greek

Gregory has more than ten years of experience with Perini Navi sailing yachts. He brings a wide skill set of yacht maintenance, which includes painting, varnishing and carpentry.
Gregory has been a Bosun on the Maltese Falcon for the third season and he takes great care in keeping the exterior of the yacht spotless, launching jet skis and water toys when guests want them and running tenders during charters.
He also enjoys diving and is currently holding the PADI's Divemaster certification and working towards becoming a fully licensed diving instructor.
Gregory enjoys sailing and is always keen to provide the best service possible with the Maltese Falcon tenders and water toys.
Gregory completed his BS in Physiology at the University of Aberdeen and then continued his education on the marine industry by completing the Yacht master offshore license and is now studying for the Officer of the Watch qualification.

Spiros Maniatis

Chief Engineer
Greek

Spiros was born in Greece and has been onboard the Maltese Falcon for two seasons now. When not on board, Spiros lives with his family in Italy and has a great passion for engineering. He always seeks to improve the condition of the machinery onboard ensuring its smooth operation and programmed maintenance.
Spiros graduated in 2014 from the Merchant Marine Officer’s Training Centre of Piraeus and has a wealth of experience in the yachting industry as well as commercial cargo vessels worldwide.
Spiros has two lives, one as a top-level engineer on the sea and second seeking adventures in the mountains. Whether it is ascending a hill with his road bike or racing back down the canyon on the end of a rope, he is our adventure man onboard. For many years he has commanded the engineering department as Chief Engineer but wanted to enjoy the unique experience the Maltese Falcon provides.
Spiros holds an impressive unrestricted engineer’s license, which means he can approach his work with great insight and experience; if a challenge is presented a solution is found. His love of the Mediterranean lifestyle, sun and food extends to San Remo, his family’s home, where he can relax with his wife and son, practice his Italian and make the most of his photography passion.
